Teaching

With nearly 15 years of experience, I have an extensive background in music education, working with a variety of student populations of all ages. I have served as a private instructor, music director, teaching artist, and adjunct professor with many prestigious organizations, including Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, the Metropolitan Opera Guild, and the College of Performing Arts at The New School. I also have experience working with disabled and neurodivergent students and students with additional support needs. I maintain a private voice studio for beginner to professional artists, creatives, and voice users.

  • Payment - Lessons can be paid by Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or cash. Lessons must be paid for in advance.

  • Cancellation and Late Policy - Lessons can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice, and must be made up within 30 days. Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled. Lessons cancelled within 48 hours will forfeit any refund. Each lesson will have a ten-minute grace period; lateness after 10 minutes will be deducted from the session.

  • Recommended Lesson Frequency - The key to learning any new skill is consistency. If you’re trying to learn an instrument without any previous training or are serious about growing as a musician, I recommend weekly lessons. Some students elect for lessons every other week, which works best for 60-minute lessons. Other students elect to have lessons on an à la carte basis. The frequency of lessons really depends on your goals as a musician; I am happy to meet you wherever you are in your musical journey.
